Hebridean Huts, 52 North Galson, Isle of Lewis, HS2 0SJ

Isle of Lewis and Stornoway

By Ferry

There are two main ferry routes from the Scottish mainland.

The Ullapool to Stornoway ferry is the most direct, with Hebridean Huts being a ½ hr drive from Stornoway.

The Uig to Tarbert ferry is the more scenic route, where you travel from Kyle of Lochalsh over the Skye bridge and on up to the ferry port at Uig in the north of Skye. From there, the ferry takes you to Tarbert on the Isle of Harris; Stornoway is under an hour’s drive away.

Both ferry routes operate 7 days a week, although the service is limited on a Sunday. Visit www.calmac.co.uk for timetables and to book online. If bringing a car booking in advance is advised.

By Plane

Flights operate daily to Stornoway from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness. Flights can be booked at www.loganair.co.uk
